QUESTION:
Context: I'm searching for an ultralight trekking tent.
Capacity is 1 or 2 person.
The tent should be double walled (though single walled tents that can manage condensations can also be included).
The tent can be free-standing, semi-free standing or pitched with trekking poles.
The key criteria is light weight.
I'm looking for something less than 1 kilo (ideally) or a littler (100 grammer or so) over 1KG.
The tent should be 3 season - though 4 season tent can also be listed.
It has to be waterproof and strong wind resistance.
Look into various relevant subreddits, and reliable user-forums and build a list of 10 such tents - especially that are easily in mainland Europe (to avoid import taxes)
ChatGPT asked for 3 clarifications (nice):
up to a 1000 Euro max. Preferred around 700 EUR
None - as long as the material is rugged, weatherproof and the tent can last for a few years with mild usage
I'm looking for balance between the three. So, if I get a single person tent that is 100-200 grams heavier, but gives me more room inside (to allow the gear to kept inside rather than in vestibule, I'll prefer that). For setup - it can take a few minutes to do, I don't mind the setup time. One very important part for setup is that in case of double-wall, the outer-fly can be setup before (to avoid the inner getting wet in rain). For Trekking pole only tents, I'd prefer are easier to setup rather than a lot of time is spent in balancing the tent or holding in wind.
Hope this helps.
